I had the 7th edition for a prior semester and for the life of me I can't figure out why they put out a new edition that has already proven to have out of date information. Oh, wait.........yes, I can. Money! Buyer BEWARE! The expiration dates on software trials are not current nor correct. Clio now only offers a 7-day trial instead of the 12-month trial. CaseMap and Timemap only offer 30-day trials instead of the 120 days listed in this text. Not sure about the other ones but I would assume they have changed also. You will also run into issues in the hands-on activities in each chapter that use the third-party software because the instructions are outdated. I would suggest you rent this book rather than buy it.

It has stickers seemingly giving you access to Cengage Brain online but does not. If your class requires the only version as well, this book did not provide any online access codes therefore I had to return it

So far we absolutely LOVE this planner! Like other reviewers have mentioned, it would be nice if it were spiral bound because the binding makes it hard to write on the entire page. I took 1 star off for that reason. That being said, this planner is so great. I needed something to record daily activities for each child (homeschooling 3 kiddos) and this has plenty of space for that. There’s enough space for up to 6 children. I’m using a different color for each child to keep up with my organization (or lack there of). There are spaces to add each child’s name and goals for that child as well as the parents goals. The dates and months are left blank so you can adjust them to fit your calendar. There’s a space for each week and the kid/area of study for that week. On the next page (after each week) is a list for extras/activities and the page after that has space for grades for each thing done. I was worried about needing another recording device for grades but this is an all in one. I can see myself using/purchasing a new one each school year. One last thing that I truly love about this planner, it has little inspirational quotes on the right header of each page. Nothing religious just something that gives you the warm and fuzzies that truly confirms why homeschool and exploring with your children versus institutionalizing them is such an amazing experience! I could not be happier with my purchase of this planner! ( other than the binding )

I really love this planner! This veteran homeschooling mama (going on 7 years) uses an online tracker to create transcripts and to record daily work. However, planning on the computer is just not possible for me. I still like to plan on paper so I can see everything at once.Pros:*Lots of room for your entries*Each section has color coated edges so you can find your section quickly*Organized well and would be a great resource to bring to any state required meetings as documentation of your schoolingCons:*It’s a huge book! Like other fat workbooks, it doesn’t sit flat when you are trying to write in it. Solution: I chose to take it to my office supply store to (1) cut off the spine and (2) add a spiral binding edge. This makes it sit completely flat + I can flip my extra pages under the page I’m writing on. Saves space too! I do this with most of our fat homeschool workbooks. It’s only a few dollars and makes such a difference.*If your students do lots of electives or supplemental subjects, it may be difficult to squeeze in work for six students into the weekly sections. If you have a family of up to four students, you’re probably pretty safe.*I wish there was a pocket or two! For the time being, I’ll just clip a pocket to it.Format and Function:HOW TO USE THIS PLANNER p.6-15 – especially helpful for new homeschoolers, but probably not needed for experienced homeschooling parentsYEAR CALENDAR – p. 16-19*No preprinted dates – helpful if you do not follow the traditional “school” dates. Simply write in the dates once you begin recording your homeschool information. We school year round and appreciate being able to use the calendar without losing any previous calendar months. Without preprinted dates, that means no preprinted holidays either. So you’ll need to add the holidays yourself. I always like to have the holidays written down as well as the public school holidays (everything will be crowded!).The yearly section also includes two page spread for Goals for the Year – A great reminder of the big picture so to speak. Also a wonderful place to incorporate state requirements to follow during the year – if your state has regulations.MONTH CALENDARS p.20-43 – The month calendar is the “month at a glance” filling two pages, side by side. Helpful to record doctor appointments, holidays, field trips, or other appointments that may impact schooling. Each month calendar has a box for attendance as well as a notes section.All the months are grouped together (all twelve one after the other). That’s pretty awesome when you are planning for how long it will finish a curriculum. For example, if our math program is 120 lessons/tests, I divide that by the number of days in a week that we homeschool (120/5=24). So I can estimate 24 weeks to finish math (not counting vacations). Next, I start counting on the start week for math and literally number the weeks M1, M2, M3, etc. until finished. Not having to sift through each month’s weekly pages is a timesaver for planning! Otherwise I’d have to page through the weekly pages to get to the next month.WEEK CALENDARS p.44-251 – For each week, there is a two page spread with 6 vertical columns. Monday through Wednesday are on the first page, Thursday through Sat/Sunday are on the second page. Sat/Sun share a column of six entries. There are six bullets for each student. If you do many electives and supplemental work, one section per student is not going to be enough. I have two children and will probably use double the spaces (four sections instead of two). If you have a large family, be aware that you may need more than one planner.After each two page spread for the weekly entries, the next two pages are Extras and Grades. The first page is Extras with a numbered paragraph for up to six students. The next page is Grades with a section for up to six students. Each of the six sections is 6 lines. So again, if you do extra supplemental work or electives, you may need more than one section per child.The weekly calendars continues in the same order/format for the rest of the weeks:First page: Monday – WednesdaySecond page: Thursday – Sat/SunThird page: ExtrasFourth page: GradesYEAR IN REVIEW p. 252-253 This section includes a two page spread. The first page has entries for 3 students (each entry is 7 lines) and a bottom section for “My year in review”. The second page is identical for students 4-6.NOTES p.254 – 255 Ruled pages to fill with any important information to jot down.RESOURCES p. 256-257 Includes list of organizations, books, websites, and forums that may be useful. If you are a veteran homeschooler, you’ll already be familiar with most entries. New homeschoolers may find this useful.I’d recommend this planner to all homeschoolers, new and experienced! This planner has been designed for function and will be indispensable homeschooling parents. I’m in love with it and will be purchasing this annually. Super appreciative of being sent this planner to review.

My initial thoughts of this planner is of high admiration. I think the author really thought this planner through. The only thing I dont like are the quotes, some are good but some ...not my favorite. There is plenty of space to jot down notes while homeschooling, lessons, attendance, events, books read and the list goes on unless I make my own, this is the only homeschool planner I will invest in. I have been homeschooling for nearly 4 years, and spent lots of money on planners that dont do the job. The absolute thing I love about this planner is the placement of extra and grade sheet between each week and not tucked in at the back of the book.Ps. I did get this coiled bound after reading many reviews however I found the coil binding has made the planner look cheap so as soon as I get home , I am going to un coil it and put in a binder. The next time, I would leave the orignal binding on.

Simple, straight forward, and flexible. What more could you want in a planner? The little nuggets of wisdom on each page might be my favorite part. After 7 years of homeschooling, I think I found a planner I can stick with. I do wish it was spiral bound, but that’s only a minor inconvenience.

I gave my daughter an old princess pop-up book with elaborate pop-ups (castles over 6" tall, multiple flaps, etc.) She absolutely loved it and asked for more pop-up books. I purchased this and one other (The Wide-Mouthed Frog) in hopes of keeping her interest.The book is short, only a few pages. The pop-ups aren't very elaborate or large.Yes, it's a pop-up book. Unfortunately it's not quite elaborate as the princess pop-up book from 20 years ago...

I think this book is fantastic! My nephew is 2 and he is really into dinosaurs right now. The pop outs are awesome! I knocked it down by 1 star because there are ony like 4 pages this whole book. I wish there were a couple more pages since the kiddos love looking at the pop-out Dinos, but they still love it.

Wonderful illustrations, will be a Christmas gift for my son who loves dinosaurs, vivid colors, awesome pop ups**Update**He absolutely loved the book, it's small enough he carries it everywhere but it's sturdy too, he loves looking at the pictures and we read it Together at least a dozen times a day, it's easy to understand, and it's still in one piece!!!

Calling all DINO Lovers!!!! This book is a must for any little dinosaur loving child. Very vibrant and educational for younger learners! I would suggest age 2 and below be supervised with this book as the pop-ups may tear out of the book easily (this is just my personal experience.)

I helped my husband pick this set of 3 pop up books for a 5 year old boy. His father’s in the military. My husband was his secret Santa. What 5 year old doesn’t like dinosaurs? Cute & colorful, the pop ups were not too delicate for little hands. The other books were about dolphins and a frog. So i thought .. perfect! I hope he’s enjoying his books!

I used this book with my 3 1/2, 4, and 5 year old students. However, the children were not as curious about the book as they were with other Pop-Up books I have. Also, I found the names of the dinosaurs a little difficult to pronounce. In addition, my class have more girls than boys. Not many of the girls in my classes take interest in dinosaurs. However, the pictures in the book are fantastic. I will add this book to my children's library.Edna

My child love this book, he loves dinosaurs. Maybe a little too much, he decide to get out of bed one night, and stealthily remove all of the dinosaurs from the book. The next morning I found a torn up carcas of a book in the corner of the room. I saw traced it back to my little pet dinochild. Great quality book though, my child consumed it, literally.

17 month old tore away two dinos within minutes of being left alone with this book :( Husband was very sad because he loved the book so much. So did toddler but he just couldn’t help himself I guess. Wish it was sturdier material.

For the most part, he had a supportive and well-liked team but there's some characters which he truly trashes you have to wonder about.For example, on Spec Ops: The Line (his baby), he told one writer to create APOCALYPSE NOW in Dubai with a heavy focus on fighting American soldiers as well as self-destruction of the mind. The man wrote, instead, about global warming and wasted a month when told to rewrite it because he believed a 1st person shooter about American interventionism was the best place to soapbox. The Great American Ale Trail claims to be the "Craft Beer Lovers Guide to the best Watering Holes in the Nation" and is a worthy effort. I live in the UK and have visited quite a few of the pubs & bars in this book particularly in Oregon and California, other parts of the U.S i've never visited, some places i'll probably never visit but i found the book a great read, very informative and a volume that i'll probably carry with me on my next trip to the USA.The authors research must have been very hard work! All states are visited though beer centers like California and Oregon get more coverage than say Ohio or Nebraska (1 page each). It's the authors personal choice of bars and pubs so you may or may not agree with his choice but as the author states in his introduction the book is intended as a starting point for your beer exploration. The book has 360+ pages good use of spot colour and the format is easy to read, the guide is plit into regions, i.e the Pacific North West, the Midwest,etc and by State and town or city.The book makes a good companion piece to Lisa Morrison's Craft Beers of the Pacific North West and i'd recommend both books to beer drinkers everywhere, just have a good beer while you read!Craft Beers of the Pacific Northwest: A Beer Lover's Guide to Oregon, Washington, and British ColumbiaThe Great American Ale Trail: The Craft Beer Lover's Guide to the Best Watering Holes in the Nation

What's not to love: a well-written independent guide that considers the crazy-large production of beer in this country. We keep a copy for local exploring, and give it as a much-appreciated gift to friends (young and older).

I like the organization of the book, I am planning a road trip to the Southwest right now and use this based on where I'll be for the night to plan on what breweries to visit. I feel like there are some breweries missing (but I'm sure that no one could possibly include all the good breweries without leaving some out and offending some beer snobs) and I would love some pictures, but other than that it's very helpful.

My grandson manages a bar and grill and loved this.

This book made a good present for my friend who introduced me to the world of craft beer by taking me to GABF. Will the incredible growth of the craft beer market this book was almost outdated as soon as it was printed. Despite this, it lists some iconic craft breweries around the nation.

I'm a graphic designer, and to be honest, half of the reason I bought this book was because when I did the 'look inside' feature, the page layouts were designed amazingly... the other half was in hopes that the actual content would be good, which... it was! It's a really trendy and great book for anyone who likes to visit breweries when traveling. And even if you don't get to travel that much, it gives you some insight into good breweries around the country

This book has craft breweries and craft brewpubs for (almost) every state. The author tells you about the "vibe" of each location, and what he considers their best beer. He missed a few places I've been to, but hey you can't hit every place. Overall, a fun read.

It is pretty short and not as overwhelming as the other books on the topic which intimidate me. He goes into domestic structures and off-shore structures which is good because I feel like there is a lot of debate as to which structures are the most effective.I found a typo on page 75 (thanks, Jeff).You should definitely buy it for your mother on Mother's Day, your father on Father's Day, and your children for their birthdays. I'm kidding, don't buy this book for your family, just read it and then learn how to protect your assets.

Well written, and easy to understand. Very clear concise, and easy to implement.

This has some very helpful tips on protection but it should be used as a reference to seek professionals to do the setup.

If you're planning on using options you need to read more than this book. A good place to begin.

Shots are mostly scenic, with some lifestyle ones interspersed.If, like I, you are strictly a beach person, don't be put off: Surf, Pool (my fave! A throwback to Esther Williams days), Sand, and Isles comprise at least half the book — but I still enjoyed viewing the rest.

What a treat to have found this book while browsing for interior design books to place on a foyer console table! The front cover immediately sucked me in because I love photography such as this. Although incorrect, I like to call such photos the “little person” photo where the people are small against a beautiful, vast backdrop. I can’t wait to place this on my coffee table so friends and family can browse through its pages. Gray Malin’s words in the book are few from what I’ve gathered since page 92, but so well written. Short and sweet is what I appreciate. The book is also beautiful and substantial.

This is a gorgeous, dream inspiring book. The perfect dull, winter day escape. Malin captures his subjects in such a simple, but mesmerizing way that you’re completely captivated. I could stare at these pages for hours.

Awesome book, but slightly damaged on one corner. We decided it wasn't worth the hassle to return.
